9 month pictures

9 months!

Can't believe she is over 9 months old now! Here are the stats from her latest Dr appointment: She was 16lbs 11oz (putting her in the 10th percentile) and 28.5in long(putting her in the 73rd percentile). Looks like she is taking after her father int hat department. Almost right at 8 month she started sleeping through the night, she goes to bed at 8:00pm and wakes up around 7:30. Her sleeping through the night has made life so much easier:) She can crawl so so so fast. She does not like to crawl on hard or wet surfaces so she does a nice crab looking crawl and will not put her knees on the ground. She cruises all over the furniture and climbs up onto anything she can get that little knee on. She now lets go of the furniture and balances for up to 20 seconds. Walking will be happening way too soon!

Trip New Orleans and other things

We decided to take the drive back to New Orleans with GiGi with a short stop over in Gulf Shores for one night... There we had a chance to visit with Grandbobbie and Uncle Timmy and Aunt Gwen. The we made our way to Louisiana. Although Zoe was Great in the car from Tampa to Gulf Shores, she threw quite a fit from Gulf Shores to Covington. She had started to run a low grade fever, but I assumed it was just teething. When the fever did not go away and started to rise I called her doctor and they told us to take her to the emergency room. There they checked her all out, drew blood and did a chest x ray (not fun trying to keep a sick scared baby still). When everything came back, the doctor said it looked like she may have a little pneumonia in one of her lungs and stared antibiotic. After a few more visits to a doctor in Covington and a change of antibiotics she stared to feel better and the fever finally diminished. So, out trip home was not quite a fun as usual, but it was still nice to get home and visit with my family. Zoe did get to go swimming in GiGi and PawPaw's pool for the first time and when she started to feel better we took her out to the River Walk in New Orleans. Zoe did great, once again, on her 9th flight. She entertained everyone while we waited to get on the plane and also the lady behind us while on the plane. I could not ask for a more happy easy going baby :)

We have a crawler!

On Friday the 23rd Zoe finally figured out how to get her legs and arms moving in a way to get her somewhere. For about 2 weeks she has been doing the downward dog yoga pose and getting so frustrated when she could get moving. She is so much happier now she can go where she wants.

Zoe's 6 month check up

We went tot he doctor this past Tuesday. Once again, she is doing great! Here are her stats:
-16lbs, puts her in the 60%
-26in, puts her in the 55%
-and her head measured right at 50%
She is doing great with eating food now. She gets super excited when she sees me coming with her bowl and bib... She puts her arms up, mouth wide open and she snorts like a little pig :) (picture above)
Zoe now easily gets from the sitting position to her knees and is still, by the hardest, trying to figure out how to get her arms and legs to move where she wants them too. She gets very frustrated, but I know she will soon be on the move.
