Trip to New Orleans

Zoe and I took a trip to New Orleans to meet/spend time with family and Greg came in a few days later. Again, she was wonderful on the plane, not a peep there and back (I'm sure one day our luck may run out, but we appreciate it for now). She had a great first Christmas, she got lots of goodies and even more hugs and kisses.
-Finally got to meet Great Grandbobbie
-Trying out mom's old hat
-Christmas morning
-hanging out in bath tub (big bowl)
-just hanging out

2 Month Appointment

Zoe had her 2 month appointment this morning and she is definitely a growing girl. She now weights 10lbs and is 23 inches long, that makes her 29% for weight and 70% for height (string bean). Doctor says she looks great and to keep doing what we are doing. Poor baby had to get some shots and that is never fun, but she did okay with it and is just a little cranky today. I hope she feels better soon. Now we are preparing for a trip to New Orleans to meet more family and friends, I hope she does just as well on the next plane ride( I will be by myself for this flight).

Trip to Buffalo

We had a great trip to Buffalo! Zoe did great on the plane both to and from Buffalo (something we were a little worried about). She got to meet lots and lots of family, unfortunately I do not have pictures of everyone, but we do have video, I just haven't figured out how to get them off of our new camera. Here are a few of Greg and some of his siblings: Steve, Lynda and Steve and Zoe and her Grandma (hiding from the camera)

1 month Appoinment

We went for Zoe's one month appointment and the doctor said she looks just great. Since birth she has gained 2 full pounds (8lbs 8oz) and grew 2 inches. She is now in the 24th percentile for weight (huge improvement from her last appointment where she came in at 9th percentile) and she is at 59th percentile for height. She is starting to become more alert for longer periods of time and gives us some smiles a few times a day.

More Pictures

Welcome Zoe Ann Burg

We went in to get induced at 8:00am on October 5th. Pitocin was started a little after 10:00am and Zoe Ann Burg was born at 4:17 pm. She weighed 6lbs 8oz and was 19.5 in long. Came out looking just like her father! We came home today and are getting settled in. Here are some of the pictures.

Doctors Appointment

Went in today for for 37 week appointment and was sent to the hospital (all day) due to high blood pressure. My blood pressure came down and they sent me for an ultrasound to check on the baby's size. Everything measured just right, here is her lasted photo. Apparently things are moving along and she could make an appearance any day now!

3d ultrasound

Today we went in for a 3d ultrasound. This little baby was not very cooperative... no matter where she turned she either would hide her face in a corner with her little nose pressed against me or had a foot or an arm covering her face. So, here are a few of the better pictures: 1st pic- her nose is distorted b/c she was smashed against me and they had to cut it off in the ultrasound, but look at the lips (not mine), 2nd pic- hiding her face with her arm, 3rd pic- hiding her face with her foot.

Baby's Room

Here is some of the progress we have made on the little ones room. Walls painted, new crib and new dresser. Still much to do, but the big stuff is out of the way.

Its a...?

We went in for our 18 -20 week ultrasound and from what we saw everything looked okay. The most exciting part is we got to find out we will be having a little girl! She is a modest little bugger. She would not open her legs to show us her business, I started to think we were going to leave there not getting to find out what we were having, but luckily the ultrasound tech was patient. She had me go empty my bladder to see if that would get her to move, and it did. I go back to for a regular check up in 3 weeks and will get the results of the ultrasound. I uploaded the best picture we got of her. I know they usually don't do another ultrasound if everything is going well (which I hope is the case ), but I sure would like to have another ultrasound between now and delivery, it is just so neat!
